• The Connection: MuslimEd Connections provides the “lived experience” resources that allow educators to move beyond theory. By highlighting Muslim narratives and perspectives, we help teachers create identity-affirming classrooms where Muslim students see themselves reflected in the curriculum, as mandated by the Ontario Equity Action Plan

Policy/Program Memorandum No. 119 requires all school boards to identify and remove systemic barriers that lead to inequitable outcomes

The Connection: Our platform acts as a catalyst for identifying and dismantling barriers. We provide a space for educators and community members to engage in the “Courageous Conversations” necessary to address Islamophobia and systemic exclusion. We support school leaders in their obligation to create safe, inclusive environments where every student feels a true sense of Dignity and Belonging

The Ontario Leadership Framework (OLF) emphasizes “Building Relationships” and “Developing the Organization” to support a collaborative culture

The Connection: MuslimEd Connections is a tool for Relational Trust. By facilitating connections between school administrators, Muslim families, and community partners, we help school leaders fulfill the OLF domain of Connecting the School to its Wider Environment. We empower “Lead Learners” to build the cultural competence of their staff through authentic community engagement

The Ministry’s “Achieving Excellence” vision emphasizes that all students must have a clear path to success and a voice in their education

• The Connection: Through our focus on student voice and community ties, we ensure that historically underserved voices are at the center of the school improvement process. Our resources help educators honour the diverse identities within the Muslim community—intersecting with race, culture, and language to ensure that Student Voice is a driver of school policy and programming

Ontario’s mandate focuses on providing “Dignity, Purpose, and Options” for all students, particularly through de-streaming and pathway programs

The Connection: By fostering a sense of pride and self-efficacy in Muslim youth, we directly support their academic engagement. We provide the community support network that encourages students to pursue high-ambition pathways by ensuring they feel supported by a system that understands and respects their faith and identity
